Joule's No Good, Very Bad Day
|Joule's No Good, Very Bad Day|
Joule's job at MCT is to set wards and watcher spirits and bound spirits for MCT subsidiary buildings, and she works 15 to 17 hour shifts since she picked up a sleep regulator. Being very exhausted and getting beat up by the rituals, she eventually runs into Canter who apologizes to her for her behavior on the Gland Theft Alto run. Joule later asks Canter for a ride home when the public transit lines to her apartment aren't in service. Canter picks her up and takes her to a nearby apartment, though on the way she figures out that Joule is a wagemage.
Right after Joule gets home from a long day at work, Amadou Zheng gives her a call and demands that she go to the docks in Downtown to guard a shipment. On the way, she takes a nap on the bus. She then meets three shady figures near the docks in a warehouse in Downtown.
Joule summons an air spirit and gets in the back of the truck carrying the package, and notices that there are mana vines covering the inside of the truck.
An hour into the ride, Joule's spirit notices Canter's car driving up, though Joule is able to convince her to not hit the truck. Canter warns her that other runners will be after that shipment, though.
About another hour later, leaving Tacoma, the truck gets stopped at a railroad crossing. Joule realizes they're in an ambush, and then a bullet flies through the back of the truck as she's taking Jazz. She engages in astral combat with an enemy mage and their bound fire spirit, though she is able to win after a tense fight.
After the fight, the truck is able to continue to their destination. Joule is paid in a single bar of gold from the shipment.

Player After Action Reports (AARs)
"Well that was something. I kind of thought that shadowrunning would cut down on my work hours but nope, just more stuff to do in my off time. It's alright though. It's fine. I would've preferred it if the team was more sociable but they were professional enough. The job got done and I got paid. That fight with the other mage... it was exactly as thrilling as I thought it would be. It feels so good to use my powers again, no matter how bad the circumstances around it are."
